Battle of the Bands

Youth Fest's Battle of the Bands takes place during the entire event on the main stage. This competition is geared toward teen bands ages 13–18, with a few additional spots open to older groups if space allows. Bands must apply to be considered. Those selected to perform will also be given space to set sell merch and connect with fans.

Performances will be judged by a panel of local musicians, evaluating musicality, stage presence, and overall impact. At the end of the night, one band will take home a $200 cash prize.

As an explicitly Christian event hosted by Redeemer Missionary Church, Youth Fest is committed to creating a fun, positive, and family-friendly environment. Songs do not need to be explicitly Christian, but all music must meet a clean standard. Lyrics or themes that are explicit, vulgar, sexually suggestive, or in direct opposition to the Christian faith will not be permitted.

Bands are required to submit their full set list, including lyrics, at least two weeks prior to the event for approval. Any changes must be approved in advance.

All band members must attend a required sound check and pre-event meeting on Saturday, October 3 from 3:00–4:00 PM, which will include a venue walkthrough and setup details. Bands are expected to be ready for their assigned performance time and follow all direction from event staff.

Youth Fest staff reserves the right to decline or remove any band that does not meet these guidelines or uphold the expectations of the event.
